The Story
Albany, New York. Marissa Bennings, a newspaper journalist long estranged from her son Michael, learns he has been murdered. At the funeral she meets Paige — his pregnant girlfriend, a stranger carrying the only family Marissa has left.
The two women form an uneasy alliance to find out who killed him and why, following Michael's trail into the city's opioid underworld — where the truth cuts closer to home than either of them is prepared for.
